The Year 3 students in Mrs Prosser's, Mrs Fullgrabes and Mrs Lindsay's class continued their investigation of the 'Cool Lunch' unit by researching and creating Pic Collage posters about materials that are poor conductors of heat. Initially the students had expanded their key word walls in their Explain Everything journals and even matched images to them. Then they were guided through a Google Advanced Search to find websites and images that they had the right to use and created posters using Pic Collage app on the iPad to demonstrate such materials. Finally, following brainstorming of environmentally options in response to the key question 'What could we make to Stop our Lunch from Spoiling' the students imported their posters to their Explain Everything journals and began to design containers and label them accordingly to solve this problem using the inking and shapes features. Some of the designs were unique and ideas for materials quite thoughtful!
